MEMBERSHIP IN NEW YORK




Thank you for your interest in JOINING the State of NY Society, National Society United States Daughters of 1812.


Membership is available to women age eighteen and over who can offer satisfactory proof that they are lineal descendants of an ancestor who, during the period of 1784-1815 inclusive, rendered civil, military, or naval service to our country. In order to be considered for membership, your War of 1812 Ancestor must have served in any of the following situations.


Membership is through a local chapter, and begins by filling out the form to your right, or sending an email expressing interest.Ask us about Junior Membership and Flora Adams Darling Daughters Membership as well.


We look forward to hearing from you, and happy to have any one of our New York Chapters assist you in the application process.

Do you have a War of 1812 Ancestor?

If you have a War of 1812 patriot in your family tree, enjoy meeting other women, participating in patriotic ceremonies and promoting the War of 1812 in New York, we would love to hear from you.


Do you love American history?

We research, document & preserve the War of 1812 as it unfolded across New York State two hundred years ago. If you love history, consider helping us further the purposes of our 1812 Society.


Do you enjoy patriotic ceremonies?

NY Daughters locate and mark the graves of men who served during the War of 1812, as well as their own 1812 ancestors. We promote patriotism,  attend military services honoring  War of 1812 veterans, attend 1812 Symposiums, place U.S. Flags, record historic findings of our 1812 past, to name only a few of the things we do to fulfill our State Society's many purposes ...
